Leer (read)(es)Una lista de deseos es un espacio liminal, un umbral intermedio del deseo. Existe justamente en la tensión, en la distancia que se abre entre el querer y el tener. Como tantas otras situaciones de mi vida, mantengo, alimento esa suspensión esperanzadora de infinitas posibilidades, sin negociar con la tajante realidad material, sin el remordimiento de la posesión real y todo lo que conlleva. El objeto es un símbolo de lo que podría ser en lugar de una posesión material que tantas veces me defrauda; el subidón ocurre cuando lo encuentro y lo selecciono y lo archivo.
(en) A wish list is a liminal space, an intermediate threshold of desire. It exists precisely within the tension, the distance that opens between wanting and having. Like so many other situations in my life, I sustain and nourish that hopeful suspension of infinite possibilities without negotiating with the blunt reality of material life, without the remorse of actual possession and all that it entails. The object becomes a symbol of what could be rather than a material possession that so often disappoints me; the rush happens when I find it and select it and archive it.
